Hello Dear Hearts,
Well, we're about five months into "normal" living, ie: (semi-)permanent mailing addresses, school, work, et cetera. Living several hours and many miles apart, but managing to see each other a few days each week. It's been, and continues to be, a tough transition, but we've managed to keep our chins up and our eyes focused on the silver outlined clouds above. We have also been able to maintain our adventuresome spirits, and cram in a few things worthy of note here and there. Which brings me to the jammer. I know we said our goodbyes, and Ted has stalwartly stuck to his new life no blog approach, but gave me the go ahead to pick things up and fill you in on what we've been up to. So, here's my attempt at jamming. . .
A recent trip to see Leonard and his mountainous monument of God's love.
(And time with the Koonces!)
ham
monkey men
picnicking within the mount
a laugh with leonard
And then we took a dead end road to Bombay Beach. . .
Bombay Beach smelled even worse than our visit back in February. . .
and everything had sunk even further into the salt n' sea. . .
but some things never change.
