Three Notes
on a happy note, today marks the birthday of tom waits. on a sad (very sad) note, i recently learned that pelt guitarist/solo acoustic/old timey raga extraordinaire has passed away today. he was only 38. last year, i got to see him in chicago and it was a very soothing/engaging expeience, indeed.

As for the first note, there was a Tom Waits Birthday Party here in Chicago at the Darkroom (in Ukranian Village). Justin is there as I type this. I however, am ever so tired and never took a shower after I came home from swimming and have a 15foot bubble of chlorine scent surrounding me...
